ONE! & First Haircut

Our little Luke Ready is one year old (sniffle sniffle).  Chris and I were both home with him on his birthday, which was nice.  We had a pretty big day, but he was a trooper.  We had breakfast at Panera, where he got to have a very sweet and yummy cinnamon roll.  It wasn't his favorite.  Crazy child! We also went to Pigtails and Crewcuts for his first haircut.  He did AWESOME!  I was impressed by the lady there who did such a great job.  I have no idea how she cut his hair straight with him wiggling around so much, but she did.  He looks so adorable with his big boy haircut.  It's still crazy and has more curls than ever.  So precious!

We planted a Dogwood tree on his birthday.  It was a fun little project and we can watch both of them grow throughout the years.  Can't wait to see it next year when Luke turns 2.

Luke is a happy little boy.  He plays really well and loves trying to figure out his toys.  His favorite little baby pastime is to remove and replace lids onto random objects.  Water bottles, camera lenses, bottles, buckets, and anything else we can figure out for him.  He loves his new swing set and would stay outside all day if we would allow it.  He hates coming inside and makes it well known that he isn't happy about it.  He has quite the little temper when he doesn't get his way.  HELP!  He is still very interested in his little tractor. He spends a lot of his day rolling it around and down his slide.  The love is still strong for that one.  He isn't walking yet, but any day now he'll be taking off.  He can walk 4-5 steps now.

Here are some pics...
