Chris recently got a new job, which he is VERY excited about. He will be at Sheperd Center working with spinal cord injuries. He has this week off so we decided to take an impromptu trip to the beach for a long weekend before Chris begins the new position. Luke LOVED it!!! He was so much happier this trip. Our last beach trip was just awful. This year he played on the beach in the mornings, took 3 hour naps, and then back at it for early dinners and pool time. Luke came back looking like a little island baby with his tan skin and natural blonde highlights. Chris and I were not so lucky. Not sure how we managed to come back with the same skin tone. Our skin never really saw the sun. I guess with a toddler you're in the water all of the short time you're actually in the sun. Oh, how times have changed. Sigh! I actually took a book to read, hahaha!!! Wishful thinking.
